Ambulances find it difficult to pass through in the traffic. People don't even have courtesy to pave way for ambulances.
Vehicles do not stop in signals properly , jump stop line, stop unto extreme left also, hindering the vehicles to proceed even where free left turn is available. more

It is very true and in traffic jam It is worse, people move on the wrong side too more
We.all.agree to the above mentioned facts but the stage at which the traffic police are working it seems they are being asked.to.work.like.the watchman or the security guard of a society .12 hours of working 3 hours of reporting what will.the poor traffic police do at the signal . Let the government make flat 8 hours of shift and on every challans that he makes.government pays him.a incentive amount This way a proper.lane.will.be there for everyone to move and so will the emergency services . Its genuine and.common.people care a damn foe the traffic police as they know what they undergo.so.unless we all.understand.the root cause and a.possible solution to the same these.things will keep on happening . more
In other countries, the spouses of PMs and Presidents take up some causes. Examples are Hillary Clinton's pursuit of health care, when sh was the first lady. Michel Obama pursued the them of asking people to go home early and spend time with family instead of spending long hours at work. Unfortunately, amongst our leaders and their spouses, this kind of pro-activism is unheard of. One of the most important causes of traffic woes (part from all the other causes such as too many vehicles, bad roads) is the selfish attitude of we the drivers. We want to get through quickly, we want to be ahead of others, we don't care if others are inconvenienced, we don't care too hoots about traffic rules. We obey traffic rules only when the policeman is in sight. Even then, we try to get away by name dropping - "do you know who I am? or I know so and so". All these people who want to rush through the traffic like bats out of hell don't get very far. Usually, one sees them waiting at the next traffic signal. If only each one of us is a little considerate towards our fellow citizens using the road, we would conduct ourselves better. It is not that taxi and auto drivers, who are under pressure to earn a living on day to day basis misbehave on the road. Educated looking, and rich people sitting in swank cars routinely cut across others path on the road, overtake from left, jump signals, spit from the car window. Just as a movement has now started about having toilet in every house in every village to avoid public defecating, similarly, another movement has to be started to put to shame people who violate traffic rules, who cause inconvenience to other road users. Create a hall of shame and name them, photograph them and display their faces on social media. more
