It is the high time the ruling government should realize the difficulties of common Indian citizens. Big buildings are changing in to flats to accommodate more dwells , more vehicles with the same given limited area. This reminds me the govt. policy in Singapore where buying a car is directly linked with your income tax return i.e. paying capacity and the car parking area where the car is going to be parked. Can we India learn good things in life. How many we people pay tax and file a return to afford a car/ parking space available for each car.. more

I don't think this would do the need. In Myanmar, the govt has stopped sale of new cars, only old xars can be purchased from market. Such sort of action might be possible. Then again, the auto sector industrialist won't let it happen.. The only way I can see is that public transport be made so disciplined, clean and air conditioned that people prefer them over their own cars.. more

kamalarajan yes it is menace all over india.we can implement a rule one family one car one 2 wheeler one house in one city one more house if need be in an rural area .this can bring down consumerism and also help to solve day to day problems. more
