The railway Station should have two areas 1) platform 2) waiting area. The passengers should be allowed to go to platform only to board the train. The display board in waiting area would intimate the passengers arrival of a training. This is kind of concept used on airports. It is implemented in many countries on their railway stations. Personally i have seen this in Euxton station in London and Ottawa , Canada railway station. Its very organized and neat way of travel. The obvious benefits are reduction in accidents , safety of passengers and tension free travel. more

Thanks Amit , it's a good question. The audio announcements could be part of this solution. In addition , we are a very helpful society to provide directions. It may be destination , platform location or train number. more

I am also agree with Gurvinder point. personally i have also seen in other europion countries like in paris and brussels. these countries govt are very cautious about the safety and comfort free journey of their citizens. Apart from that Indian railway should also use the escalators on each and every railway stations as well so that old age passengers and children can also reach to platform easily. more
