Arun, while I agree with you that ayurveda is known to cure some people of their cancers, its efficacy needs authentication. We are told by the allopathic doctors that there are metals used in the preparations of the Ayurveda medicines which react to their drugs…namely during chemo and radiation. At least its efficacy and past records have proven that they help cure cancer and we take them even though their side effects are horrible! I would not put my faith in ayurveda but rather in tried and tested medication. more

Thanks Doc. May sound a little weird, but I have seen several Breast cancer patients getting cured by ayurvedic medicines, without been subjected to chemo or surgery. Unfortunately for us, no institution or professional in India is willing to research into this aspect. This is our legacy. MNCs from US and Europe are actually spending billions on such research projects. We are more comfortable in relying on their literature. Prevention is much better than cure. What prevention entails is regular check ups, monthly breast self examination, mammography every two yrs from age 40 onwards, a balanced diet, regular physical activity and a positive approach to life. more
