My experience with Airtel for well over a year is not overtly exciting. I have a 3G sim, but many times even within city limits, it is just Airtel E!! There is no point complaining, as one who complains suffers the most!!! For those who r desperate about mobiles(!) it may be well worthwhile to have more than one sim and of different service providers!! more

My & our sympathies, considering what you must be going through. 'Desperation' was experienced by my parents & the rest of us, way back in '47 when we had to flee from Lahore. Never ever after that -- that is why, i suspect one has reached the 80 th, now going on 81 st. with the Grace of God. IF the mob. falters, we get on to the land lines (also from Airtel). As one is not involved in any Profit & Loss exercises, one accepts-- as it comes...! Best & Peace. dev chopra more

We also run out of the house but we still loose the call many times. I have had the same dilemma as many Airtel users ... the other providers are probably worse especially while roaming. I am trying to figure out the most stable provider in my home (I work from home most of the time now) and consider switching to them ... it is embarrassing and at times creates a problem when one can not attend an important call. Vodafone seems to be the strongest option in my house though I need to verify it. Vodafone may not be the best option for you - check various provider signal strength in your area if you are as desperate as me to set this right. more

Right you are Arora saheb. We live in Phase II of dlf, just off the MG Rd. and have to run out of the house into the park opp. our us, because the breaks/fluctuations do occur from time to time. It is part of our "Indian" problem. TV/mobile related towers were put up, in hundreds in Gurgaon; bad supervision by the authorities clearing their towers on top of private houses, (in some cases even before the house got constructed fully & got the occupancy certificate) have been the weakest factor in all this. Sad to say, Airtel connived with the private house-holder and the "sleepy" clearing authority --and we are landed with the off-and-on problem! That is what India that is Bharat is all about, i daresay. Will it be different with the others you seem to be convinced about? IF so, we would indeed like to hear about it! (Basically, we are ALL the same, allowing for SOME/FEW straight and simple, ethical ones, among us--if you know what i mean, Sire). Regards & Peace.... dev chopra (9810338049) more

Airtel mobile signal fluctuates a lot with frequent call drops in my area - Airtel acknowledges the problem but they are yet to resolve the problem. Even though these Airtel connections are more than 15 years old, I am considering switching to another provider. Airtel DSL and landline work well. more
