Durga Prasadji v. Useful post. my wife use to cook like this- Clean,chopped in small pieces,,Put some oil in non-stick frying PAN .Saute till becomes brown,remove from the pan and cook vegetable as per your taste by adding onion,ginger,tomatoes,green peas/potatoes, (as per your taste,) more

Gupta ji, it sure tastes better if fried; but it holds good for all vegetables that frying improves the taste;but one has to develop taste for steamed vegetables for betterment of health. more

We have been using this vegetables, but my wife cooks it after frying and since I do not take fried food at all, had been avoiding it. Dr Chandra ji, you said, it can be cooked without frying, is it correct? since my wife still insisting that if it is not fried, it wo'nt be tasty to eat. more
