Mr Rajan Jain is right when he questions the Insurance companies' refusal to cover Cancer; is there an answer to his query? We seem to have forgotten that the "affordable medical help" is a birth right of every citizen which is a corollary to "Right To Live"; has the govt taken any census of the ailments that each Indian is suffering from? does it have a data base of patients? has it made any provisions in the annual budget or included any schemes in the five-yr plans, to cover the free treatment or concessional treatment of its citizen? if the answer is know, let it start now, pronto! Learn from USA; "The Affordable Care Act expands the affordability, quality, and availability of private and public health insurance through consumer protections, regulations, subsidies, taxes, insurance exchanges, and other reforms"; Is there such a provision; similar to " right to food security" we also have a right to dignified living and not die like a dead wood; Make medical treatment affordable; Ban effectively the consumption of tobacco, liquor and other products which affect human health adversely; we should brace ourselves to overlook the commercial/ economic benefits of cultivating tobacco, etc and look at the damage it is causing to our people; and the expenses and the sufferings of the victims' families; and the money spent on the eye-wash propaganda of the govt restricting use of tobacco, is meaningless as there is no commitment on the part of the govt to ban use of tobacco; Govt need not worry about vote-bank, there are more people who prefer banning tobacco, etc use than those who are using them; in fact, if one person in the family uses tobacco, etc, there may be four or more in the family who would oppose the use of tobacco-as it saves a lot of money for the family and also ensures healthy life; "Heathy Bharat" has to become a reality; for that : a. Govt should provide concessions for treating chronic or terminal ailments; b. Insurance companies should cover the expenses of treating such ailments; c. people should avoid acquiring such ailments voluntarily and live a healthy life by resorting to preventive course of action rather than resort to reactive typejavascript:; of treatment; more

WHEN FEW PEOPLE USED TO EAT ALL THESE WERE AVAILABLE AT VERY VERY REASONABLE PRICE . NOW THE DEMAND HAS GONE MUCH HIGHER, AFTER AWARENESS, SO THE TRADERS HAVE ESCALATED THE PRICES TO THE SKY LIKE LIFESAVING DRUGS. more
