Police inaction in Gurgaon
Yesterday, my car was hit by a rash taxi driver in Gurgaon near to Artemis Hospital, and I telephoned the police control room ( tel 100) four times from my mobile requesting them to please come to the accident site. I was promised that the PCR will reach shortly, however, no one reported at the accident site even after one hour waiting in the sun.
Do we have any means to address this issue and the errant police officer be taken to task. Had there been a serious injury, what could have happened, - only God knows. more

THE MANAGEMENT OF LOCAL CIRCLE SHOULD AND MUST EVOLVE SOME SOFT WARE TO RAISE SUCH ISSUES TO THE HIGHER AUTHORITIES FOR MEANINGFUL AND FOR REAL PURPOSE OF BRINGING OUR SOCIETY TOGETHER. ONCE IT IS SUPPORTED BY LOT OF ENDORSEMENTS IT IS BOUND TO SHOW SOME RESULTS LIKE CHANGE .ORG ETC. more

Virmani ji, what purpose will it serve now for me? Media also takes up issues only when they are paid for that. Can any body in local circles, please raise this issue with the media. Even to make a RTI, I will need to find the procedure, fill up the form etc and submit to some authorities which I don't know, since I have returned to India only 18 months back and am not familiar with all such procedures. more

Regarding Mr VijayGopalan post, I tend to differ with him that - " we did not deserve any thing better..." and " We Indians are insincere, dishonest and selfish minded. We won’t develop". My request is that please do not blame the whole Indian community for such actions of police force. Let us not forget that we are part and parcel of the Indian society and we ourselves are to be blamed for this. more
