DEAR NAVNEET SARIN Ji No , I am sorry if you felt other wise I do not have any doubt , rather I like your English. Every one is accustom to language as per his profession Sir, my intention was just to be easy way to communicate for a common man on this circle ------------------------------------------------ (Advocate, Joint Secretary, Ghaziabad Bar Association.) commented on the Post NAVNEET wrote: "Dear Shiv, Thanks for understanding my point and Sorry for the language which you feel complicated. Mr. Sarin, I do agree with you on the thought that there is a strong need to cleanup the BPL list and and reduce government spending on people who claim to be BPL but may be earning 10x that. My concern comes to the view point in practically implementing this and the salaried class who who again join the list of misusers. Of course this is feasible, but may need maid / servants / drivers to declare their income via PAN / Aadhaar card to be able to close the loop. Yes, I know people, who own very small shops (aka khokha) in markets like Lajpat Nagar or Sarojini nagar worth 50 lakhs to 2 crores but pose as poor, my neighbourhood kabadi owns a bigger car than me. Its easier said that can be done, considering the amount of effort that need to be done on identifying real poor and the possibilities it opens for corrupt to fudge that data. more

DEAR NAVNEET SARIN Ji You are right and explained well But better if we use simple language on this circle ------------------------------------------ (Advocate, Joint Secretary, Ghaziabad Bar Association.) commented on the Post NAVNEET wrote: "Dear Mr. Sethi, you have still not read my previous note. You are arguing on different topic. My idea is to give IT exemption is for different reason and that is to bring all these unreported employed to government records so their names can be deleted from the list of BPL records. This incentive of some two thousand annually is to lure people to come forward and report the information about the workers. I don't care if someone is hiding income or paying tax. I just want government to stop Lacs of crores on food and other subsidies to manage vote Banks in the name of BPL & Social welfares. If the money going to drain is saved rest sure this amount saved can be used on better places and on the development of Nation. Moreover if the BPL people count comes down genuinely it will improve India's standing in wold, if all these workers who are employed in unorganised sector's (and rest sure 90% of them are in IT exempt limits ) income is calculated it will surely give a boost to Indian GDP. My intention to write this write up is to request Government to rectify the error in the name of BPL data. All other things which you say are not relevant in this case. On other side do you feel a person earning 10 times or more than the BPL cut off figure should be allowed to enjoy the benefits which he does not deserve and remember we are bearing the cost of those benefits." more
