Dear Members, I am a NRI, until now did not opened any NRI bank account, all of my earning send to India to my father account for saving. Kindly advise how it will consider legally, the savings are NRI money or Non-NRI also I need to pay tax for this? more

You have sent money to your father. If you have earned it abroad, it is not taxable neither with you nor your father. But the interest accruing on the deposit is taxable with father. You can open a NRI A/c through embassy. more

The interest or income on that money and not the whole amount, is taxable in your fathers hand and not yours. more
