I want to know whether any physically challenged person verbally abused by any family members . Can anyone take action?. What law say's in this matter.

Law not discriminate the healthy person and other physically challenged person as far as the liability for offence is concerned. more

By force one cannot change the mindset of family members. You may go to court and get relief after 10 to 15 years. During this period you will be tortured more . Better try for a peaceful negotiations more

The best way is avoid legal path and solve the in-family issues through mutual understanding and respect. Such approach will help strengthen family bonding and a caring environment for needy. Occasional disrespect or verbal abuses may not be taken as a stretching points. The persons with disability have been provided a legal protection under the special act enacted by the Govt.. However, taking help of that should be the last resort. Legal protection does not necessarily guarantee the life time arrangements in their favour. more

What you say is true sir. But if a does this with the intention to drive one mad to the extent of one committing suicide then what to do. Arrogance of money and good body makes one to do such. A family which is technically broken what such action can change. Not harming to show there is such provision which can hurt that person financially and publically he will get humiliated if authorities take action. Then the very knowledgeable will force the person behave. Thanks more

Family elders or also not in a position to solve. Elderly them selves face similar issues. Similar to SC/ST act is there such provision to warn or imprison such person. Thanks more
