Let me give glaring example. Website of tourism development corporation says price of Rs. 1800/- per day of a room. If I ask for same room through make my trip.com, it shows the price of Rs. 5,500/- per day. They also offer immediate 50% discount. So it comes to Rs. 2750/- per day. Additionally, it gives 30% discount if you use particular bank debit or credit card. If you use that, still it costs Rs. 1925/- which is more than Rs. 1800/- offered by tourism development themselves. Most of persons do not have the desired bank's card and end up paying Rs. 2750/- per day instead of Rs. 1800/-. Far more. Just imagine how they are making profit. Just cheating. Nothing else. more

Brokers or Commission Agents are not mentioned as authorised agents or reps of the tourism corporation who cannot charge more than the listed price because they are, if authorised agents, officially given certain commission on sale. If Mr. Sangani is intersted, he could collect certain authenticated documentary evidence by downloading the information and file a case in the consumer forum for doing Unfair Business Practice. more

A private player can charge what they want - no one can challenge their price Surendra Ji.
