1. Children should be given some knowledge about likely threats to their person, but gradually depending upon their age. It will be important that parents should be given this information to educate their children to suit their individuality. Written instructions should be mailed to them by school or local police in Hindi or mother tongue.
2. Children should be familiarized to identify undesirable persons, from their body habits, conversation and gestures. This can be done through showing slides or videos in schools or homes. Special TV programs can be televised after giving proper publicity.
3. Places more visited by children must have CCTV, police patrolling and even system of access control if possible.
4. Do's and Don'ts should be issued and prominently displayed at public places.
5. The background of culprits should be publicized to castigate such culprits socially along with the identity of relatives to build deterrent against them socially.
6. Last but not the least, offenders committing rape on children below 12 years of age must be given death sentence irrespective of the age of the accused. They should be tried by fast track court and testimony of victim child should be adequate to inflict punishment. Only one appeal should be allowed to the accused and there should be no provision of filing mercy petition to Governor or the President. more

The complaints of children are not taken seriously and if taken there will be compromise by thd police itself. So the root cause will be not known and many children are suffered or punished by their parents or elders. There should be proper investigation in the matter by the police. But police behave as per the Indian and orthodox standard. This is highly irregular. Many children left to their caretakers are sufferd a lot. more

I also appreciate the suggestions given by Major Chand K. Sharma. I would also add that children should be advised not go to any isolated places alone, because these are the places the bloody, shameless, inhuman sharks wait to catch their prey, even teachers should not be allowed to stay alone with any student. more

I fully agree to what Major Chand K Sharma has suggested. Personally, I become very very mentally violent, whenever, I read the crimes committed. more
