Then to argue the case counsel will charge between 1 lakh + + per appearance.
On top of all these, the dates after dates are taken in Hon. High Court.

The judiciary has to discipline themselves and the advocates/lawyers etc etc. For every activity there must be a FIXED PRICE and it should be affordable to the common man/plaintiff/defendant/victim. Besides, proper receipts to be issued for all the payments being made. No cash transaction at all to any professional like Advocates, Doctors, Hospitals, Courts etc. Immediately after a verdict/judgement is delivered, the Order Copy must given to the concerned litigant without any charge whatsoever and it should be made mandatory and the concerned judge/court/lawyer/advocate must be held accountable for this and that too within a proper time-frame. Besides, any case must be concluded within a time frame and tariq-pe-tariq MUST BE abolished. I urge the highest judiciary to consider these points. Litigants would definitely heave a sigh of relief if implemented. more

as per my limited knowledge and based on interactions with legal professionals (although they never even share an approx. number) I feel the fees would be highly dependent on the case or the issue ....I feel the fees mentioned above is slightly on the higher side more

The comments expressed are bit exaggerated. The fees charged though depends from individual as well as the matter, "30000 to 1lakh & above ----- Normally there is a requirement who will make affidavit", so also "1 lakh + + per appearance." is not correct to the effect for each and every matter. more

At least in civil case ,One should contest/argue his case oneself as one knows more case details than the advocate . This will besides saving fee ,help in in curtailing frequent adjournments more

I would suggest to hire a lawyer ...in law there are several nuances which only a lawyer can twist and turn .....a skill which a common would not be able to master ..we also need to acknowledge that on the other side there is a lawyer ...if our ability gives us confidence to speak on our behalf then please go ahead ..else hire a SME (Subject matter Expert) more
