I've followed a simple formula viz do not shy of eating anything bitter......lemon peel, orange rind, seeds of lemon and orange, karela..............RAW, dears, not as marmalade or in cakes/pastries etc. By the way, a friend sitting next to me, who's reading these lines, wishes me to add: beer and whisky are also bitter..........He's not wrong, is he? Let's ask the senior citizens! more
What percentage of these properties remain in the peel when consumed as achar or lemon pickle? Can we dry the peel in shade, make powder and consume with honey etc? If so how much quantity should be taken each time? I read elsewhere in an ayurvedic article that the lemon seeds, powdered and consumed with honey for some time will dissolve kidney stones and throw them out of the system without any side effects. more
Are you supposed to eat it as is or dry up and eat Mr. Chandra? more
