The idea of installing solar roof top is very good. I wanted to get installed solar system on my rooftop. Enquired and got the quotations also. For individual family of middle class it is too heave spend amount on solar system. Why Delhi Govt. is not sanctioning any subsidy -- a fixed amount per kw for only residential houses. It should not be for commercial establishments. I enquired Delhi Govt. and Central ministry regarding the subsidy and got the reply in negative. When Rajasthan/Haryana/UP -- our neighbouring states are sanctioning subsidy for solar plants, why Delhi Govt. is just thinking on that? I was informed that in some previous years Delhi was sanctioning subsidy only for solar heaters and that too was stopped in Congress tenure. I enquired from Ministry even regarding the loan facility, and was informed that loan is admissible as per bank rate. No subsidy on interest rate even. Delhi Govt. should give subsidy and bank too should give loan at subsidised rate only for roof top solar projects. It will definitely benefit the consumer and Govt. will save the money on electricity. When Govt. can sanction loan at susidised rate to a farmer why not to a Delhiite?
