Narendra Modi government is trying all tricks to weaken the fight against corruption and is continuously taking steps to strengthen the corrupt and give them all ways to escape after looting the precious resources of the country. The steps of the Narendra Modi government suggest that it has plans to engage in corruption more severe than its preceding UPA government and it is now preparing ground to avert a fate similar to the UPA.
Media reports suggest that Narendra Modi led BJP government has moved a legislation according to which citizens cannot have the absolute right to blow a whistle if they see a corruption happening around them. As per a revelation made through RTI, the amendments to the Whistleblowers' Protection Act as planned by the BJP government would kill the anti-corruption movement in the country and could be even be used harass the crusaders again corrupt system.
Aam Aadmi Party will strongly oppose inside and outside the Parliament any amendments in the Act which is currently under consideration of the Rajya Sabha.
If the amendments are passed then it will give a free hand to the Narendra Modi government to incur corrupt practices in bidding and tenders in the crucial defence and economic sectors like stock exchange etc in the country. The amendments will also stop the whistle blower to act in cases of environment pollution or projects which lead to ecological disaster.
The move of the Narendra Modi government clearly aims at protecting itself from the probable future corruption allegations and also to put a blanket cover on the last fourteen months of unabated freebies to the corporates and drain of public wealth and resources.
Aam Aadmi Party and its frontal organizations would do things needed to make public aware of the ill intentions of the Narendra Modi government to loot the country and to throttle the anti-corruption movement. more
