Catering services in all Rajdhani Express and Shatabdi Express is horrible, unhygienic and intolerable. May I request the Railway Ministry to look into to make Railways better. If not possibleto improve upon, it is better to cancel all such Catering Contracts immediately. The Quality of meals has become horrible over the years . more

Carry your own food. That is the only solution. Till Railway Officers will eat free while travelling, the Quality offered to common Passengers will not improve. more
It is really very alarming that the quality of food is monotonous . The Railway authorities should ensure serving of quality food. Giving tip to the staff serving the food/meal, depend on the will of the public, it is not compulsory. P.C.Jain more
Sir, patna rajdhani dinner menu is worst, every day same menu is served and no taste in its food item,it should be replaced by simple roti, kadi of besan with gravy and pakora, rice with some fried mixed veg,and for non veg it should be replaced by egg curry with roti and rice more
In Rajdhani food is monotonous and there is no emphasis on quality and the cleanliness. The taste is horrible and we feel cursing the servers when ever they are coming with food. So Railways needs to pay lot of attention on this subject. Second and very important thing TIPS FOR THE SERVING STAFF. AFTER THEIR LAST SERVING THESE SERVERS WILL COME AS HAFTA COLLECTORS AND MORE OR LESS DEMAND TIPS , THAT TOO HIGH VALUE TIPS ONLY. Why traveller should pay tips for their service ( that too horrible and rude serving ). As it is the charges for the food is high and above this hefty tips are expected by the servers. Please ensure that the tips demanding should be avoided and railways should make a firm clause that any complaints in regards to the tips issue, the catering contractor shall loose certain percentage of his bill. Then automatically, this habit shall be stopped. more
