The educated retired bureaucrats and other retired people who always stayed from home want to settle in their native place at the end due to emotional reason but cannot stay in the village for want of the following;- 1 No potable water is made available though a number of efforts are made as the local administration is quite evasive. 2 No drainage system is made functional 3 No proper road system is available in the village 4 Roads are encroached upon by inhabitants by way of garbage.malwa etc as no dust bins are provided. This condition is experienced by me as I spent lacs of rupees at my village i.e.Chandrayan falling in Saharsa district of Bihar state. I personally approached to the additional commissioner of PHED,Patna but of no avail. May I request any one who considers himself to be responsible for all these to save the lives of people staying there as they forced to drink the contaminated water and their families live in such unhygienic condition more

I fully agree. Earlier the basic needs were food, shelter and clothing. Now it is Water, Electricity, Education and Roads. it is proved beyond doubt that Rain water harvesting is the best way to make this country free from water shortage. We should give the topmost priority for this. This is a live subject, but a lot more has to be done. Even connecting the rivers may not be necessary, if we implement rain water harvesting all over the country. We must put all our efforts for this right from Panchayath wards. Every vacant plot should be a rain water harvesting field. Once this is done, all bore wells can be closed. India would automatically become number one in Agriculture also. India may be the biggest country to get maximum solar energy. Making use of Solar Energy should be given next top or equal priority. If all the solar energy is used in the best possible manner, India would become the most powerful (electricity) country in the world. We should simultaneously stop excavating coal and oil from the mother earth. It is certainly important to make India a super power or economic power, but what is more important is every Indian should be happier than the previous day/month/year. If we succeed in the above two areas of water and electricity, every Indian would become a happy person. The rest of the things would come automatically. M.Ganesan more
