pl. tell you age. you can invest in mutual funds (equity & balance funds). go for term policy for pure risk with less premium. more

I agree with Mr. Mandeep dang. Age is also a factor on investments. For a risk free life endowment policy by youngsters is a must. Next is in real estateon plots. Then u think of other investments. more

Based on your age I would suggest that you invest in Mutual Fund Equity and DEbt Schemes on SIP Basis.Investment in Post Office Schemes make sense when u are over 50's as they are secured and offer reasonable return.By that age you would have built sufficient corpus and security is more important. more

The rates for Post office investments have recently been reduced, but they would be more or less comparable to Banks (without going into figures, the difference is marginal). You can see the details in any newspaper. There is a SB a/c, FD for 1 year & 5 years, a Monthly income scheme, apart from the Kisan Vikas Patra & NSC's. The only difference is the service. Its a pain to stand in long ques at the crowded post office. On the plus side they don't deduct TDS on maturities. more
