The circle on Food Safety could be quite productive if the sample test reports are shared on various public domain, electronic and print media etc. These report should get published with the name of the organization of whose sample test reports are available. Let the public decided what to consume and what not to consume. Right now the system is totally opaque. One will find only a news that some samples picked up in some city got failed during the lab testing with nowhere the disclosure of the name of the shop or the organization as a result of which the business continue with adulterated products. Transparency is the key to improvement in the quality. more

Nothing will work until work ethics like NaMo is not adopted more
I have just observed CEO of Fssai also interacting with us which is great. I am sure many of our points will atleast be reviewed more
Janak Aroraji, question raised is not testing all the products but to put results of tested samples in electronic media such as websites of FSSAI. Is it possible? more
What is required is governance, absence of corruption, dedicated implementation of rules, unless this happens situation will remain the same. By tightening the rules or increasing the fine we only increase the income of corrupt as his price goes up. Laboratories are meant to detect occasional deviation from quality by smaplingbut not when there is an epidemic of adulteration and defects are deliberately introduced in order to cheat. I read other day that 700% of water sold contains dangerous levels of contaminants. No sampling method will work. more
Sir it is not possible to put all food items on test as there is lack of lab and bribe intension of lab employee one lab will show okey on other hand other state lab will put it down.before putting it on media you have to make sure that only one lab should be authorized to test and declair the result of outcome of lab test. more
