I am a resident of mayor vihar ph-1. I wish to know, we have too many stray dogs moving around in our local area, which in turn create too much of problem for driving etc. please help & guide, who to contact so that the dogs taken away. more

I believe we can't wish away stray dogs. Because of multiple activist groups and NGO pressure; (PETA) is one of them; the municipal authorities can't exterminate stray dogs. They are constrained to only give them anti-rabies injections and release them back in the same or some other locality. This is what I had found in 2001 in West Patel Nagar. Can anybody update me if there has been a change in this modus operandi? more

Every MCD local office has stray animal control cell like dogs, cows etc. You can call to your local MCD office and ask the concerned person number. They will bring the vehicle and take them with them. You can also contact them if any of the stray animal died and their body is lying there. more

As per my experience, municipal regulations say that dogs would be taken and then after sterilization again released in the same locality. more
