Online withdrawal facility will start soon with Aadhar....UAN may be required as well....might also submit the forms 19 & 10C to IBM for processing with all attachment....regards From: "Srinivasan Meenakshisundaram"support@localcirclesmail.com Sent:Fri, 24 Mar 2017 15:48:46 +0530 To: t_chatterjee4@rediffmail.com Subject: New post "My son was employed in IB..." in [myEPF] more

There are certain questions to be clarified. a) where is he working now b) is he back in India or still in US If he is in US as Mr. Ajit stated, fill up the withdrawl form 19 & 10 C and submit it to the PF department along with the declaration in writing stating that he is in US. In case your son is back in India and working in any of the Indian companies then he will not be able to withdraw the PF money. In this case he has to write back to IBM for transfer of PF to the current employer. As Mr. Gautam stated, it would be easy in case he has UAN. more

why the people are most interested to recover the amount in PF then any where else. The PF money was secured and non attacheble by competent authority. The EPF organaistion should educate the public, How to access their account. The EPF should develop systems such way that an undeducated employee can have access to their acounts and can redeem their account or transfar the account to their new work place. more

Very concrete advice has been posted by Shri Jain. I will add a few lines. You have not mentioned when he left his job. If it was after 1.1.14 and he was issued a UAN (Universal Account number), the task would be very easy for him. However you may also find this site helpful in meeting all your queries http://epfindia.gov.in/site_en/For_Employees.php?id=sm2_index more

Approach the employer, collect the withdrawal Forms or down load the withdrawal forms, fill up all the details and get the same signed by employer (IBM) and then submit to EPF Dept., Bangalore. The Applications (forms) should be signed by your son only (since he is the claimant. more
