All things that are privatised are beyond the control of the government.Stringent rules are necessary. more
Yes, agreed and it is also true that a lot of private hospitals/institutions ( branded especially) are also unethically practicing by recommending unwarranted tests in the name of medical treatment. The Govt should also bring in governance in such functioning. half of the doctors practicing in such hospitals do not even have the required experience and will fail if given tests on basics. more
In case of stents the govt. is standardizing the rates. Similar regulations should be made for other divices. more
To get free treatment to the people the following may be considered: 1. There should be standardization of services provided by Government Hospitals. 2. Every government hospitals should have their web portal from where people may be provided ONLINE REGISTRATION WITH ADHAR CARD NUMBER, BANK ACCOUNT NUMBER, ATTACHMENT OF DOCTOR'S PREVIOUS PRESCRIPTION, MEDICINES IN USE, SUFFERING FROM, DETAILS OF DISEASE ETC. 3. PRIVATE HOSPITALS CHARGES OF ALL RELEVANT SERVICES MAY BE FIXED IN LINE WITH GOVERNMENT HOSPITALS. 4. PROVISION FOR REIMBURSEMENT OF ALL SERVICES FROM GOVERNMENT TO THE PRIVATE HOSPITALS. 5. Patients may be provided required services by registered doctor's authentication letter with type of service, kind of treatment, medicine and tests. more
This is urgent and centre should take the initiative. more
