whenever Govt goes for an alternate mode of transportation, they mess up further by introducing such modes that make the situation even verse. Its not that these 7 seaters are bad it because they make 14 people sit in it instead of 7 and use adulterated fuel. So instead of ensuring the rule is followed the enforcing agencies act lenient and make money from these Auto walas. Same is the case with other Auto walas.. They are growing in numbers on the pretext of providing mode of transportation but causing traffic problems... We surely need to go for electric buses .. battery buses and NOT THE E RICKSHAWS which are a menace for the Road... more

THIS SITUATION HASNT ARISEN OVERNIGHT. THIS HAS BEEN GOING ON PAST MANY YEARS & THAT WAS REASON WHY ALL COMMERCIAL FLEET WAS CHANGED FROM DIESEL TO CNG. FOR FEW YEARS THINGS LOOKED GOOD BUT WE ARE BACK TO SQUARE ONE. POLICIES IN OUR COUNTRY ARE MADE IN A VERY SHORT SIGHTED MANNER AND WE BELIEVE IN FIRE FIGHTING MORE THAN LOOKING AT THE ROOT CAUSE OF THE PROBLEM. THERE IS NO WILLINGNESS , SENSE OF RESPONSIBILITY OR STRIVE AMONG THE BUREAUCRATS AND GOVT AGENCIES TO PUT A STOP ON THIS MESS. ALL THEY WANT TO DO IS PASS THE BUCK AND MAKE THEIR MONEY...LINGERING THINGS... I TOO HAVE FEW SUGGESTIONS, WHICH I STRONGLY FEEL ARE WAY FORWARD :: 1/ NGT WHICH HAS BEEN IN FORCE FOR FEW YEARS BUT A TOTAL FAILURE. THEY DONT THINK STRAIGHT. IT WAS SIMPLE TO BAN ALL 10 YRS OLD DIESEL COMMERCIAL VEHICLE & 15 YRS OLD DIESEL & PETROL VEHICLES IN A PHASED MANNER. KEEPING JAN 1ST AND JULY 1ST HAS PHASE OUT DATES. THIS WOULD HAVE RESULTED IN CLEARING ROADS OF THOUSANDS OF VEHICLES WITHOUT ANY HUE OR CRY, IN THE LAST ONE YEAR. THIS WOULD HAVE AUTOMATICALLY LEAD TO REDUCTION IN TRAFFIC. 2/ WASTE BURNING AND DUST FROM CONSTRUCTION SITES : UNLESS THE AREA OFFICERS ARE PENALIZED AND MADE ANSWERABLE FOR THESE ISSUES, THINGS WOULDN'T STOP. ( WHICH IS NOW BEING DONE, THEIR SALARY WILL BE DEDUCTED) TILL THEN NO ONE WILL WORK IN THIS DIRECTION. HEAVY PENALTY SHOULD BE PUT FOR SUCH OFFENCE. 3/ RWA'S TOO SHOULD BE MADE RESPONSIBLE TO TAKE CARE OF THEIR AREAS AND IF ANY FLAWS THEY SHOULD BE HELD RESPONSIBLE 4/ MAKING ROAD SIDE AREAS PAKKA AND ANY OTHER PLACE WHICH IS NOT IS USE HAS TO BE ENSURED IT COVERED SO NO DUST FLIES. 5/ LOT OF ROAD SIDE TEA STALLS, REHRI WALAS ETC ARE USING HARD COAL WHICH LEADS TO TOXIC SMOKE. THIS NEEDS A UNIFORM BAN... IRRESPECTIVE. UNLESS THESE MEASURES ARE TAKEN ON WAR FOOTING, NOTHING WILL HAPPEN.. WINDS WILL BLOW AWAY THE SMOG IN A DAY OR TWO AND WE WILL ALL FORGET THIS TILL ANOTHER SUCH EVENT....... THIS IS THE GROUND REALITY OF OUR NATION... HOLDING PROTEST OR CANDLE LIGHT MARCH WOULDN'T HELP ANY NATION RESOLVE CRITICAL ISSUES AS THESE....ONE HAS TO HOLD THE BULL FROM HORN WHEN SITUATION GETS WORST.. more

Millennium City does not have adequate sources of Public Transport. lots of jobs needed to be done in this matter. major Actions should be taken to eradicate the problem, and therefore will help to control the pollution as well. more
