No doubt, the EPF services have improved. But, in respected of the educated and informed employees. Employees in industrial units, particularly at lower levels are the hardest hit, because the industrialists employing them hardly maintain proper records of their employees, and, further, they keep shifting their employees without their knowledge, in good faith, to their associated or subsidiary organs, thus, denying them the right to benefits of EPF. What is the solution to this problem? more

EPF must use technology, instead of depending on people too much to deliver services as required by subscribers. New aspirations of the subscribers can be met through technology, not just good staff. Staff will retire. But technology will keep improving. more

Good to hear for cooperative departments. I worked for 24 yrs in Hyderabad and left services in 2005 for self biz in Mumbai. EPF certificate Value 2.0 Lacs is received in records I am looking answer for following 1) Can I check my account status online 2)Since I am settled in Mumbai how do I get it transferred here 3)Since I am in Biz & not keen on it anymore, can I get 1 time settlement and close it. 4) or if must to continue can I contribute further as individual and make it useful & reasonable size, worth for future life. more

Yes sir, You are very right. I came across a very nice and responsible and hard working officer at PF office at Kandivali. (Mr. Sandip Khobragade, if I remember the name correctly. He informed me which document is required to get my pension request processed.) Even I had the best experience! thou my pension application is still pending.
