Can any one please suggest good remedies for long term treatment of piles ( Hemorrhoids) , generally not bleeding , only some times , but painful while passing stool. Have taken all other alopathic treatments except surgery so far. Also used some Homeopathic medicine given by doctor who do not prescribe names of medicine. more

The best way is to avoid spicy food and to take vegetables like beans, country beans, leafy vegetable without fail every day. Taking Pilex tablets also helps in removing pain and healing. more

Herbal Treatment for Piles Dear Mr Gupta, I would suggest the following herbal medicines for your present state of sufferings to bring best possible results: 1. Liv.52 (Himalaya) - One tablet twice a day after meal. 2. Zandu Nityam Churna (Emami) - One tablespoon powder with warm water daily after dinner for three days. After seeing improvement in bowel movements, continue with the same dosage on alternative days or twice a week after dinner. Finally after satisfactory bowel movements, take the same quantity of powder regularly on every Saturday after dinner to get rid of constipation and host of stomach disorders. 3. Arshkalp Vati (Patanjali) - Two tablets twice a day after meal. 4. Kanchnar Guggulu (Patanjali) - One tablet twice a day after meal. 5. Punarnavadi Mandur (Patanjali) - Two tablets twice a day after meal. 6. Kasisadi Tel (Baidyanath) - Apply few drops of oil locally on piles twice a day.
