No.K.11023/ 5/ 2004 – DCC (AYUSH) September 09, 2008,All State Governments/ Central Government ASU&H drug procurement agencies including the Central Government Health Scheme (CGHS) shall accept supply of ASU &H medicines only if it is accompanied with batch wise quality analysis from an approved laboratory/NABL accredited laboratory in respect of each medicine.All State commissioners/ Directors of AYUSH, Director (CGHS), Deptt. of Health are requested to ensure compliance of these instructions with immediate
effect.The said order was kept in abeyance on 05.08.2010 for one year which was an attempt to compromise with Quality and safety, I approached J&K High Court and the Govt of India assured that it will not be extended after one year . The said communication was applicable on all Medicines purchased directly from Companies as well as from local dealers including Public Undertakings. Store Officer accepted the supplies without Quality Analysis Report and forwarded all these Medicines to a Committee and get them verified under suspicious conditions.Bill worth crores were released.Matter was reported , AYUSH Ministry, CVC & even CBI forwarded the case to Health Ministry and Central Govt Health Scheme for action.Instead of any action, involved persons were given promotion.When there was a rider, how CGHS Ayd Store Officer managed entry of these Drugs in Store without Quality Analysis Report. How the Payment was released in the absence of Quality Analysis Report after 09.09.2008. It is an example of zero tolerance against corruption. more

Hearty congratulations to Shri. Virender Mahajanfor his endeavor. In Maharashtra- till date 350+ Adivasi infants and children's succumbed to death for the reason of non supply of medical aids and medicines in time. Furthermore, in 65 years more than Rs. 65000 cror were spend on upliftments of Adivasis. If One calculate the per head expenses, it will be multi-fold then the Population of the Total Adivasies in Maharashtra. This is our Social System. The Great BABUS are getting promoted for this Excellent Work. As against this Your endeavor is a ray of hope for the day/s to come. Pl. keep it up. Ayurvedic Medicines purchased without Quality Analysis Report of Govt Approved/NABL Accredited Laboratories between 09.09.2008 to 05.08.2010 were dispensed to CGHS beneficiaries- this case may be handled (investigated) separately, as the 'incident' has already occured. For now & future clarity on lab tests requirement must be made and producers must adhere to it.... It would be better to form a committee of AYUSH officials, important/ large scale AM manufacturers, AM Practitioners, etc. to formulate & finalize such a policy... Now AYUSH ministry is formed and is not under the Ministry of Health & FW, this needs to be done on priority.... It is a fact that traditional Veds and village people ARE NOT the AM producers & marketers now-a-days... it is purely a business.... (ref. Mr. Manoranjan Mohanty's post above).... more

The post requires test certificates for the batch of medicines procured. May be initially it was stipulated to regularise the supply quality. In fact to effect supplies and produce test certificates will delay the supply and may lead to some unhealthy norms of supply. How ever as per Sri Manoranjan Mohanty GMP is in force and medicines are bought from the companies who follow it. Then is there a need for a test certificate again? Also I do not know whether any allopathic medicines are also supplied with test certificate for batches. Request Mr Virender Mahajan to review the need requested. more

That is the govt and its officers. What ever Modi tries for good government such a officers spoiled the name of MODI Working with their own , neglecting Rules are now a days became fashion. In Postal Dept also the officers doing to their own accord and given promotion to retires on ad-hoc basis, which is only to serving people. The courts with out studying the case papers, dismissed the petition for modifying the wrong promotions as per Rules. So there is no JUSTICE in all level. K.V.Venkatachalam more
