MUKESH KAUSHIK

Hi I need some legal advice. Can a NRI give GPA on plain paper duly attested by Notary residing in US/Canada.
Or he has to come to India for buying stamp paper and get it registered and signed in front of magistrate in sub-registrar office?
Or what is other procedure to sell property in haryana? Can I sell on GPA??Please reply asap. more

Yr friend need not come to India u prepare gpa send to him through post he will get it dibe before embacy ok more

In Tamil Nadu any GPA for dealing with properties have to be registered. Foreign GPA should be attesd by the Embassy Officials concerned and adjudicated before the Registrar.s more

Yes it can be in plain paper. However the said power has to be executed before the High commissioner of India or other designated authority since it is pertaining to Immovable property. On receipt of the said power the same has to be adjudicated with the Sub-Registrar Office her. There is Law known as Registration Act, section 33 of this Act provides the proceedure of GPA. We got a POI from Canada 1year back. THe POI is on simple paper & Authenticated /attested by Canada Notary. That is signed By POI executant With witness at Canada before Attorney in Canada. You send it to the person in who's favour you executes the POI. He will submitte POI to The Disrict Registrar of the District where the property situated & District Registrar charge the fee of Authantication , which is Rs 150/- in U.P. and will authanticate The PIO.
