Why should DHBVN charge additional amount for making online payment/application for new connection?

Dear Mr. Sanjeev Gupta Ji, If any of the merchant/service provider is charging fee for use of debit card, please make a complaint to the agency as well as the Bank. RBI prohibits charging of transactional fee for debit cards more

Virmani agreed.. But what I said still stands valid as I have seen different entities applying charges for Debit card such as School Fees, College admissions etc more

@Mr. Sanjeev Gupta, RBI strictly prohibits levying of any additional charge for use of Debit Cards. It has advised all the banks to terminate the agreement with those companies/service providers charging surcharge on usage of debit card. more

Hi There are no charges for netbanking Bill Payment. However for Credit and Debit Card there are add on charges. I saw similar charges also on some other sites as well like School Fees payment. Normally in order to curb black money ,Governement should motivate Online payment and recieving Party should not charge any thing additional .There can be Charges by the bank for providing such facility more

@Samita Jana Ji, Thanks. Meanwhile I have also checked. They are charging 1% surcharge plus taxes for making online payment of bills through credit card/ debit cards. I have downloaded the information and putting up to concerned authorities. more
