If you dont mind i will draw your attention towards the fare difference between other transport system where much more than the expectations fare is being paid by the travellers and aminities toward safeties very less than the Rail Journey. If the fare increases, people starts to cry as this is under centeral Govern maent. Why the same questions are not being raised to the private sectors who charges much more and provides less in quanltity as well as quantity. more

Sibdas Ji, Your concern is ok for that. But I have found most of the time while traveling that elderly people are more conscious and they can use the escalators properly. Although, in Metro station there are staffs who do the helping activity to those who required to be helped. In the coming years our government will surely do some for the railway station's escalators uses. As far as for the village people they have to make aware and its our duty also to help them to know the uses. Thanks & regards Samudragupt Sent from BlackBerry® on Airtel more

The suggestions should be realistic and practical and not based on emotions and sentiment. Human tendency always gets used to situation and circumstances. The facility of escalator does not mean that it will become a compulsion for everyone to use. There will remain a negligible percentage of people who may find difficulty to use escalator. They may continue to use the conventional system what they are using now. This is what is being followed in the whole world. Escalator never means only escalator. There shall always remain stairs and lifts for those who finds difficult to use escalator. But for majority of the people, escalator will be a boon in all respects. Providing Guard and/or Helpers for attending people to use escalator is an absurd proposition. Nowhere in the world, any such system persists. more

TRy to remember the villagers specially the women with their heads covered by their saris or scarfs, they can not walk properly on the roads and `they are trying to manage their steps on moving escalators! They are prone to make mistakes, as often we see in the Malls in the cities, they look on the moving things, and then prefer the staircases rather than negotiating those mechanical ones. And accidents on the escalators are often turn to be very hazardous causing grave injuries. more
