ACTION REQUEST - Resident Communities for Smart Cities

Mr Praveen Saran I have seen your long write up, but could not make anything out of it.I wish you could have attach an English or Hindi translation. Alternatively please advise me as to how to decipher it. more  

I appreciate thought and the initiative taken by Shri N Modi Ji our choice P.M. Here i would like to say a few things on this matter. The government must start with a few prominent and most potential ones for their development as smart Cities. When the people would note changes for improving the life of the people and infrastructure of the cities. The people and concerned State Governments would come forward and help and support the Government whole heartedly. The people are waiting for the perceptible changes for the benefit of the people and the society, as promised by the BJP led by Shri N Modi. I know good work is going on, but the people can not yet see through and the opposition is trying to mislead and shake their faith in the leadership. more  

दीप दान हरिद्वार में गंगा मॉं के पावन तट हर की पैड़ी पर गंगा जी की आरती के समय भक्तों द्वारा दीप दान की परंपरा अत्यधिक पुरानी है। यह दीप दान भक्त की आस्था का प्रतीक है। पत्तों के बने दोनो में फूलों के बीच में मिट्टी का छोटा दिया जला कर गंगा जी में प्रवाहित किया जाता था । गंगा की शांत तरंगों पर फूलों के सुगंधित दोनों में मिट्टी के दियों में टिमटिमाती नन्ही सी अग्नि शिखा एक अनवरत विश्वास का प्रतीक बन जगमगाती । थोड़े समय में पत्ते का दोना, पूजा के फूल और मिट्टी का दिया सब ही गंगा के जल में एसे घुल जाते भारतीय मानस में गंगा पर अटूट विश्वास ! आधुनिक समय में जीवन की भाग दौड़ ने विश्वास के प्रतीकों पर भी अपना प्रभाव छोड़ा । भक्तों की बढ़ती संख्या और उससे भी अधिक हमारी बढ़ती व्यवसायिक मानसिकता ने किसी सीमा तक भक्ति और आस्था को भी व्यवसाय में परिवर्तित कर दिया । गंगा भक्त अपनी असीम श्रद्धा में दीप दान करते हैं और पूर्ण रूप से अनभिज्ञ रहतें हैं कि उनकी ईष्ट उनकी इस उदासीन अनभिज्ञता की कितनी बड़ी क़ीमत चुका रही हैं। आधुनिक काल में दोनें एवं दिए दोनो ही प्लास्टिक के होते हैं, जो कि बहते हुए आगे जा कर गंगा तल पर बैठ जातें हैं । न दोनें गलतें हैं और न ही दिए । दोनो ही गंगा में प्रदूषण फैलाने का स्रोत बन जाते हैं । ये न केवल गंगा को दूषित करतें हैं बल्कि गंगा वातावरण को भी नुक़सान पहुँचातें हैं । इनका सीधा असर मछलियों के जीवन पर भी पड़ता है । इस परिस्थिति के समाधान के लिए 'गंगा वन पर्यावरण रक्षा समिति' (GVPRS) ने आस पास की संस्थाओं के साथ मिल कर एक योजना चलाई है । GVPRS बड़ी बड़ी आटा चक्कियों से ऐसा आटा इकट्ठा करती है जो कि उनके लिए किसी काम का नहीं होता । इस आटे को गूँध कर दिए बनाए जातें हैं । जिन्हें इच्छुक भक्त GVPRS को संपर्क करके प्राप्त कर सकतें हैं । आटे के ये दिए हमारी आस्था के प्रतीक तो होते ही हैं बल्कि साथ में मछलियों को भोजन भी देतें हैं । इस तरह भक्त एक ओर अपनी आस्था का निर्वहन करतें हैं और दूसरी ओर मछलियों को अन्न दान दे कर भूत यज्ञ का पुण्य लाभ भी उठातें हैं ।इनसे भक्त न केवल गंगा जी का प्रदूषण एक इकाई के स्तर पर कम करने में सहायता कर सकतें हैं वरन् गंगा जी की मछलियों की प्लास्टिक खाने से हो रही असमय मृत्यु को भी रोकने में अपना योगदान दे सकतें हैं । गंगा के अविरल जल प्रवाह के लिए जितना आवश्यक बाह्य प्रदूषण को रोकना है उतना ही आवश्यक उसके आंतरिक वातावरण का संतुलन भी है। गंगा जी का जल जीवन उतना ही महत्वपूर्ण है जितना कि उनके किनारों पर बसा जनजीवन । दोनो ही एक दूसरे पर निर्भर हैं । यह कार्य हमारी परंपरा और संस्कृति के अनुरूप है! आइये; इस शुभ कायँ मे हमारा सहयोग दें. Mere naming Dehradun, a city Smart will not do. There are complex problems.As perceived by me, some of them are liste below. We should think to improve these facilities : 1. All localities do not have proper roads. 2. All localities do not have functional sewer system. 3.All crossing do not have signal lights. 4. All pedestrian pathways are not free from encroachment. 5. There is no proper garbage management. 6. Poor traffic management. 7. Poor cleanliness. 8. Poor upkeeps of the Parks and gardens. 9. Lack of smart policing. 10. Lack of proper first aid and citizens help centers. 11. Poor security system. 12. Poor executions of the rules & regulations . Hope a lot has to be done as we have viewed the dream of smart cities. more  

In every scheme or project now a days it is necessary to involve community. For smart city people participation is must. They are they real stakeholders and concerned people. In this we can bring in senior citizen retired officers with positive thoughts. That way we will be able to have a participatory and vibrant community . more
