Basic driving lessons are not ingrained in citizens now a days. In olden days police used to.announce continuously over microphones but today lives are granted even if he has not attended driving lesson. Basic sense of civility,safety ,fearing law is lacking . Overtaking ,triple riding ,wrong side driving ,lane driving are basic s to.be followed. more

Traffic Police has to be very strict in enforcing road rules to have fear in peoples mind. Practice follows. more

I was in Kerala last week on a group tour from Guruvayoor to Trivandrum, over a period of 6 days. I observed that in most places (including Trivandru, Kottayam..) drivers followed traffic rules,not too much of unnecessary honking, did not cut across, followed one ways diligently, gave way to pedestrians, waited at signals, the back benchers did not start honking when the signal turned green.... Police were present and the police vehicles were moving about to warn violators. more

Need to have basic sense, civic sense, which most of us ( Indian ) do not have . Just notice your and your family members, friend's activities. Good enough to under stand missing absolute common sense . more
