No ground work done so far except few party promotional work. Farmers', inflation, electricity, unemployment, petrol/diesel price hike always been the issues which were never addressed.
If we rate this office based on the conduct of the present Government, it deserves just to be average. While everyone talks about transparency but it itself does not provide information under RTI and that is visible through the recent rejections of RTI disclosure.
We have a very hard working and well meaning PM. He has a vision to improve the social and economic conditions of the society. However his over exposure on TV is proving counterproductive. His repeated call against corruption and efforts to teach students is not showing any signs of improvement either on corruption issue or education of children. It is true that corruption at the ground level is for the state governments to deal with but at least in the State Govts. controlled by NDA should take a lead to control rampant corruption. Even in Central Govt. departments it should be ensured by the Ministers in charge to control corruption from the lowest level. It is a most urgent for the Central Govt. to create a public perception that the Govt is in all seriousness trying to eradicate corruption from all level in Govt. institutions There are many open instances of corruption going unchecked. For instance sale of Non-Judicial stamp papers. They are sold 20% or so above the face value in U.P. Corruption in Registrar’s offices is an open secret. The remarkable achievement of controlling the corruption is felt in the Income Tax & Passport offices.
