12029 New Delhi-Amritsar Shatabdi Express

All these trains have poor maintenace problem. as per sules these coaches should be sent for POH ( periodic overhuling ) every six months to the workshop. But for the last many years this practice has been stopped . So every time one travels - one find the train dirty with Juggad( temp) rather than replaement of defective parts.

Travelled on Sep 30, 2015 from NDLS to Jalandhar in coach C 6. There was lot of lateral movement of coaches as the train speeds up. Wash basin only on one side was missing. Liquid soap pumps were missing in both toilets.

Poor catering service. Train departed at 7.20am; News paper was given to few passengers only; Distribution of water bottle started at 8am; Breakfast distribution at 8.45am, there was no choice for veg breakfast except bread cutlet i.e. south indian and paraats was not available; Welcome lemon drink distributed after breakfast at 9.30 am and then immediately tea was served. It is required to follow the food distribution schedule and quantity needs to be increased.
