12232 Chandigarh-Lucknow NR Express Train

The train is primary connectivity between Chandigarh and Lucknow. It's timing are most convenient. It is considered a super fast but stops at lot many stations and has average speed of only 50kmph.
Coaches: On other hand it is a very poorly maintained train specially for travel in AC coaches. AC 2 coaches of its rack are very old,jittery, shoddily retrofitted with charging points and outright dangerous. Most curtains cannot be used and are dirty.
Cleanliness: AC 2 coaches have old style poorly maintained washrooms. Most of the time linens are dirty and the blankets are always smelly. Linen towels are only provided on demand. During my last trip there were Rats menacing around under berths damaging luggage. Some AC 3 coaches are new and better.
Timeliness: generally departs at right time and is only an hour or so late in arrival. But is unreliable during winters and foggy season. The rack is shared with unchahar exp. 14217 leading to occasional delays.
