16178 Tiruchchirapali-Chennai Egmore Express Train

I frequently travel by this train. Each time my experience is different. Some coaches are at times neat and clean but not always. The linen and pillows supplied to berths are uniformly bad giving an impression that they are ironed without washing. Allignment of seats and backrests of side berths are invariably bad and one allotted side berth in this train has to curse himself. Night lamps are very old fit to be kept in a vintage show of railways. You need physical strength and tact to handle them.Plug points for charging mobiles are available on one side only. There is slight improvement in amenities recently. Still for this once prestigious train presently I am unable to give a better than avetage rating.

16177and 16178 - Rockfort Express
Once it was a prestigious train. The coaches were fairly good. Toilets were clean. it was cleaned at stations. The toilet doors were closing without gap and locks were good.All the above were the past. Normally if I get berths in last coupe, near to the toilet and rebook to avoid bad smell from the toilet. The two chains holding the middle berths were of different length,giving the fear to passengers. Windows were loose, especially, it don't get locked when raised. I got hurt when once the window fell on my hand. The coaches were very old. Since few new trains were introduced, between Mannargudi and Coimbatore,good coaches fro this and other trains were taken and used in that train, because of the political interference. SOme coaches are jolting,oldcoaches, and gives rise to the fear of derailment.
Now things like cleaning seems to improve. Butall other still remain nightmare
