16523 Bengaluru City-Karwar Express Train

Though Hassan to Bangalore route is available, this train still goes via Mysore. Please change the route to use new Hassan Bangalore route and save 2 hours of additional journey. Its very hard to get tickets one needs to book at least a month in advance. Please make sure that Gomateshwara express can be used by more people by stopping it at Mangalore central. That way demand for this train can be reduced. It takes 13 Hours for covering 350 km distance between Mangalore and Bangalore which is awful. Its a shame that we are talking about bullet trains and two important cities are connected at the pace of bullock cart. Though 450 buses ply on the bangalore - mangalore route, railways has not been able to give proper connectivity for decades. All the projects perennially delayed for some or the other reason. There might be truth in the fact that powerful bus lobby keeps Railway official bribing to make sure people are deprived of good railway connectivity.
