22864 YPR – HWH AC EXPRESS : the train looked from outside as gorgeous as its name , but the compartments were not so cleaned as it would be at the originating station.
After getting in the train we knew that (i) There would be no running SAFAIWALA in the train, (ii) The train would be cleaned ONLY ONCE during the entire journey & (iii) ONLY MOBILE VENDORS would be provided to supply foods . But , what actually happened (i) ONLY THE DUSTBINS of the compartments were cleaned at Khurda Road Jn. ---- the compartments were not cleaned at all during the entire journey & (ii) worst quality of food ( Chapati & HOT Sabjis )at high price was supplied by the Railway Deptt. Nominated vendors in plastic bags which were banned by the Govt. There was no water in the toilets after train departed Bhubaneswar.
As we need to adjust our berths , we were waiting for the TT , and surprisingly , the TT came to us after the train departed Renigunta Station ---- 6 hours after its departure of the originating station.
The horrible journey ended at 6:30 P.M. on 11 – 02 – 2016 and I got down from the train with chills and rigors ( probably with high fever ) and abdominal discomfort. I reached home at about 8 P.M. and had two times loose motion. I , however, slept and woke up with deep discomfort at 3 A.M. As I was going to an unconscious state steadily , I was immediately brought to the ZENITH SUPER SPECIALIST HISPITAL at Belghoria by my family members and other residents of the complex where I live in.
I was treated well and released on 16-02-2016.
.
After going through the whole episode , one can reasonably raise the following questions : --
(i) Which persons had decided to run such an important train covering a distance of 2000 KM without any running Safaiwala and one time cleaning provision ( And that too , only the dustbins ) ? Is it not the violation of the policy of SACHHE BHARAT of the Govt. of India ? If it is so , why accountability has yet not been fixed ?
(ii) Which persons are responsible for checking the quality of food supplied by the vendors ? It can be safely presumed that this system has been going on for a long period in the presence of blind Railway Administration . Did they never notice that hot sabjis were supplied in plastic bags violating health norm ? Does it match with the philosophy of “ ACHHE DIN “? Why staff accountability will not be fixed ?
(iii) Why TT came after long 6 hours ? Why a passenger had to wait six hours to know the possibility of adjusting the berths ?
