I am very unreleased to see the situation of our Agra. The sevar lines are overflowing, the dirty water is coming back in houses in Sector-5, Avas Vikas Colony. I am bit unhappy to say but this problem is at peak from last 4-5 days after the rain, and still it is as it is, I am nervous if any diseases might not start spreading. If any Powerful and a resourceful Officer/ Guy is here at this forum, Request you to either guide me or if can take any action will be so nycer of you.
Being in a heritage city having so many historical monuments, Agra Municipal Corporation owes greater duty to ensure better maintenance of the city. Unfortunately, it could not do well because of the political differences and vote bank policies being followed by the political parties. Majority of the councilors of the city belong to some other party and the Mayor switches over to other party. The bureaucrats take benefit of the complex situation. There is no impact of Swach Bharat on their working together. Agra Development Authority too has bigger role in worsening the condition of the city. Better, an officer of the Commissioner rank may supervise the working of Agra Municipal Corporation, Water Works and Agra Development Authority and watertax with house tax be collected from the consumers alongwith the monthly electricity bill and for such collection, the Torrent, the Electicity Supply Company be given some collection charges. This will eliminate the corruption in Nagar Nigam and Water Works Department. No construction activity be allowed without any temporary electric meter. Those who have installed submersible/tubewells to draw underground water must pay water tax and those who live in the houses having more than 2000 sq.ft. covered area or the apartments must essentially have rain harvesting systems.
