Security guards rob your stuff during security check. They deliberately force you to place your bag on the trailer 10-15 min before your turn for physical check can come. If you don't, then the male security guards start yelling at the ladies. If you have expensive branded lipstick, suncreens, lotion bottles (50-75 ml), eyeliner, etc be sure it will be stolen. At Bangalore airport I immediately checked bags pockets & found my Nivea sunscreen 75 ml missing. I immediately told them that within 5 min of security check my sunscreen has gone missing. They denied it. I told her that I want the complaint book to write a complaint to the airport authorities of my missing sunscreen within 5 min of security check Then an inspector came over & started treating me like a criminal & shouting at me. . He made me stand in a spot facing a particular direction. After 2 min he said that they have clicked my photo & my photos will be sent to the police. Then I told them that I don't want to miss my flight, however, I will definitely follow up with the police for clicking my photo & stealing my sunscreen. Then the inspector told me to give my handbag to the lady security guard to check it again. Before taking my bag she asked me the color of the bottle & how big the bottle was & what wordings were written on the bottle. After I answered all her questions, she took my bag & went inside the curtain & suddenly my bag disappeared. When I started yelling for my bag, the ladies there told me that I will get it in 10 min. I was tensed up about missing my flight. However, after about 5 min they gave my bag back to me. I ran to catch my flight. On reaching Mumbai, I opened the pocket to take a tissue paper, my tissue papers sachets were missing & my suncreen without the lid was in the pocket. Also, it was without the plastic in which I had kept it & I had personally kept it inside the bag & not in the pocket.

I am not such a frequent flier, but my friends who fly often state that at Mumbai Airport the stealing of branded products by security guards during security check is quite common. Even expensive pens, bracelets, earings anything expensive. They however, do not target low price products.
