I live in Gandhinagar, the heart of the city and all travellers would pass through this area, of course, excluding VVIPs. The area is filled with filth all over, not cleaned for months, potholes everywhere, BWSSB has dug the roads several months ago, not closed the same, resulting in sewage flowing above the roads, all the manholes are overflowing. Our MLA, Mr Dinesh Gundu Rao, being a minister, doesnot care a bit, though the area is just 3 kms from vidhana soudha, his office and 5 kms from his house at RT Nagar. Several complaints have gone on deaf ears. I do not expect any resolution due to this post, but posting for psychological satisfaction to vent out my frustration against this government and its civic apathy.

They do not sweep/clean the roads properly nor do they pick the garbage, they are just piling it on some place on the street. Also I have seen that they are not aware of segregating the waste - Dry (plastic n paper) and wet. Because when I asked the worker about plastic and paper waste segregation, she told no need of doing that both can be mixed!!.

RT Nagar area, No proper/timely cleaning. Garbage is being piled up near the public parks!!

It is better if citizens can quantify the quality of services starting from birth and death certificate to water supply on a scale of 10 - with zero the lowest quality in service to 10 being the best. Total overall score decides where the municipality stands. Within the city, ward wise assessment can be undertaken and the final pattern to be arrived at aggregating the score. This is my suggestion. If some one can think of better methodology, he/she can suggest through posting on this forum.
