I went to report a theft of mobile during bus journey , Whitefield police station in WEPIA, lodged a complaint under missing document and asked me to pay Rs. 200 INR per SIM. Another experience, I left my backpack inside auto rickshaw which had my personal belonging along with Form 16 , this was also taken as missing document whereas this was clear case of robbery.
We had a housebreak 5 years ago which is still unsolved even though all the reactions by the police personnel at the crime site suggested they were familiar with the modus operandi. Subsequent interactions, once the FIR was filed, turned rude. Come to think of it, police interact with criminals so closely that, if not imitate them, they can certainly make them work for them!!
