There is NO Traffic Management in Bangalore. There is just hooliganism. My father was bowled over by a a scooter running on the pavement in Basavanagudi. (Moslems from Mohamaedan Block are a menace to society. Not just in traffic. And Bangalor's Police will do nothing at all about Moslems, Dalits or other VIPs). I broke three ribs when knocked over by an autorikshaw that ran through a Policeman's signal in Basavanagudi. The Police did nothing. Not even help me up. (Was the autorikshaw owned by IPS/MLA/IAS/Judge? I wonder) . My Dad's youngest rbother had a leg amputated when he was knocked under a bus by a a scooterist riding on the pavement in Koramangala. Going the wrong way, riding on the foot path and running the lights is a daily affair on Convent Road and Hayes Road. Both these roads. Convent Road which carries more I/C engines per square foot than any other road in Bangalore has been abandoned by the BBMP who do not even have it on their budget format and merging with the traffic on Richmond Road is a nightmare.

There is no Traffic Management to rate. Take just Convent Road and Hayes Road. Scooterists and even cars move the wrong way. all the time. No Parking Zones on Convent Road have been re designated as Parking Zones to appease commercial interests on Convent Road causing inconvenience to other users of the Road. Frequently on late evenings I encounter several cars driven by drunken, quarrelsome pimps driving down the wrong way on Hayes Road with car loads of women of commercial virtue while avoiding pickets of six to seven Traffic constables standing opposite the Ritz Carlton stopping people for jumping the traffic lights! Joining the Traffic on Reichmond Road from Convent Road is a nightmare after running the gauntlet of speed bumps, pot holes and haphazardly parked vehicles on a narrow road that should be designated as a "No Parking" Road . There is never a Policeman on picket at the junction to help traffic merge. Nor has NACP implemented a "Traffic Spur" at the junction to narrow the Richmond Road at that point to create a merging lane, To add to this nightmare, Moslems block the traffic as they wait to cross the road into a "No Entry" lane in Richmond Road rather than take the next Road. So, for that matter do Police vehicles with star boards, setting a bad example to the Moslems. This is just one small fractal of the mess that is Bangalore's Traffic. I doubt that there is any competence, integrity or diligence, whatsoever, in the Bangalore Police Force
