Local Govt has to allocate funds for recruitment of more traffic police,Cameras(London has 1million cameras where as Bangalore has 19000),Increase special Environmental tax on all vehicles, on all vehicles registered since 2006(from time of start of Metro) allocate all such taxes on above Traffic planned expenditure improvements.New vehicles( All type) MUST be taxed additional 33% of present for social,environmental,space occupation taxes.All additional such tax must be invested in Metro Investments.Multi storied car parks in all localities must be done on PPP mode.Land should be procured and owners must be given market price and Min.3-4 TDR additional plus reimbursement of house shifting expenses.College students must be taken as traffic wardens to impose penalty on cars parked on roads near available multistoried car parks..Students should be given stipend on hourly basis from penalties imposed on JAY CAR PARKING. One police head countable OR SI should be appointed per area to whom college students volunteers should report.SI cum student groups must be rotated to avoid malpractice.Local Govt HAS TO increase penatlities for all traffic offences over and above GOI/MOT new rules

IMO the traffic police should be more authoritative in controlling the traffic. At Ramamurthy Nagar signal, people entering from the wrong side of the signal are allowed to go while a traffic police is manning that crossing. It just makes a mockery of the law abiding citizens.
