For some strange reason BSNL Chennai have started quoting the "Account" number as the reference instead of the phone number in their communication relating to bills.. For people with multiple connections it become a chore to identify. Unable to understand why the phone number which the client is familiar with cannot be used as done earlier.

System of providing bill reminders needs to be more user friendly. In the first place all communication should be referred with the phone number instead o Account number. Secondly reminders should only be sent for unpaid and not with general remark to ignore if paid, The recipient of messages should be able to act without doing an exercise as he or she may be receiving alerts for several connections which may not be identifiable by account numbers.
BSNL connections are far below normal expectations. Signal strength is very poor in my area Kottivakkam. Though we have 3G data card for our BSNL prepaid mobiles, it is absolutely useless. Though there are ample number of officers listed for contacting in BSNL web site, all only waste of time - only we get ringing sound, but never attended by anyone. The customer service numbers are another useless and utter failure system. One has to make infinite attempts in getting connected to a customer relation officer; even the particular person could not clarify any of our grievances or questions. It is high time that they are serious - either close down BSNL fully or restructure it completely to improve services. Let tax payers money is best utilized for services.
BSNL broad band connection is terrible. I don't get the the internet connected often, works at very low speed, like 516 kbps?? Only solution is other service providers, because despite I contacted the bsnl staff many times, very poor response RaJendran Aeroda
Both mobile signal and Internet Services at Tambram West are poor and causing frequent inconvenience to the customers. There are no towers of BSNL in the area particularly Kannadapalam. There is only one tower of Vodafone which can be shared by the BSNL. Services are poor
