We have a very old connection hence i personally do not know the problem regarding new connections. But I have learnt from various sources that BSNL do not provide new instrument at the time of connection & in fact they ask the customer to purchase a new instrument from the market. Moreover if the old customers have problems in their instrument they either replace it with another faulty instrument. They do not even change old wires with a single piece wire but join the wire with a piece of wire. Thus we have several joints in our connections. Actually this is the main cause of network failure.
