Though this bank has not endeavored to modernize the branches with latest gadgets, their approach is good and customer friendly. A little bit slow but helpful generally.During demonetization crisis period the Chennai Mogappair Branch Manager and and other staff work hard and the crowds are kept at minimum and no ugly scenes were there in the queues .Sr.citizens friendly. personalised touch.

Good performance during the present hectic period. They tackled the crowds well. The Managers are frequent found absent from his cubicles and customers are unable to see for any help. The cash supply to the branch should be improved with Rs500/- notes since at present we are unable to get them from PSU Banks in any place. we get only 2000/- notes plenty and bank staff insist to accept them . They give some small quantities of 10/- notes or 20/- notes. WE DO NOT GET 50/- NOTES AT ALL. The banks are generous in giving 100/- notes.

The mad rush has been reduced. the ATM machines look like dead creature within the protected room., some with warning as "No cash available". Many operate and get no cash slip and go away with disappointment and cursing the Banks and the Govt.of India. and RBI. But due to want of adequate man power, the Bank branches are sleepy. Attention is better. But the SB entry printing machines are very often out of order, or out of service due to Power failure, or lack of staff. Withdrawal limitation has not been improved. Generally bank shows their interest in lending loans by advertising lower interest rates rather than providing service to regular customers. THIS IS BAD. Managers are generally absent as they are fed up with frequent pestering of customers for some help. Customers are unable to withdraw their cash available in the SB account even in case medical emergencies. Managers say they are unable to help. customers. The quality of banks not improved.

The Branch at Mogappair East Chennai is functioning under the Chief Manager, who has good professional capability to handle any situation. They care for Elderly customers. The Banks are understaffed and the incumbents find it difficult to handle the crowd . The machines provided in the bank and also net connectivity for banking transactions are generally not good.

To my knowledge of all the PSU Banks, Central Bank is working in a better manner. It gives personalised assistance. Their attitude towards Senior Citizens is somewhat better than other Banks like State Bank, Union Bank Of India, etc. The only thing is that this depends on persons employed there and mainly the attitude of Manager. The Chief Manager, Mr.Natarajan in very efficient, kind officer, who attends on all customers with care and especially with sympathy towards Senior citizens. He keeps rapport with all. An incident needs to be viewed A lady left her Mobile by mistake on the table of this bank , and went home . Next day she came and complained to the staff of the Bank and no one were aware of it . When she complained to the Chief Manager, he looked in to the CCTV footage and identified another lady stealing it and she was also a customer. The c.manager identified with the help of staff, he himself went to her house with affected person and tactfully enquired about the mobile, and the culprit with innocent look produced the mobile to the manager. The c.manager handed over the mobile to the owner. Thus, what a Police ought to have done this job, the Chief Manger took interest and completed his work successfully. This shows his sincerity and kindness. His services are required for the benefit of customers and Elders.
