I live in warren Road,mylapore.We have been getting metrowater on alternate days even though the pressure is dropped from the pumping station.But however not all our residents in warren road(other apartments) gets metro water.They have been buying water!

We didn't get metro water for the last two years. Our flat have 22 families and repeated complaints to Metro water, MLA and the corporation councillor brought no relief

I live in Naickamar street, West Mambalam. We have not got metro water for the last four years except for a short period during the floods.

I live in 58 Mc Nichols road Chetput.We have not been receiving Metro water for more than ONE year despite representations.

1Water Supply by CMWSSB is very poor. Even when water supply was normal We have not been getting water in our building on 58,Mc Nichols Road ,Chetput,Chennai 600031.for more than 4 years though we pay water tax very promptly.
2.Due to acute shortage of water , Chennai MetroPolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board{CMWSSB} has started a scheme to provide water in tankers to consumers who have consumer cards.But the system is mismanaged and NO EFFORTS are taken by Senior officers despite representations by consumers. Unfortunately the NewsPapers and Media also donot give enough publicity for mismanagement and force CMWSSB to take corrective action.
3.Let me tell my personal experience.{a}I booked for a tanker water on 9th May 2019. Booking Number was given by SMS as 190509080162.Qty 9000Ltrs Rs 700/= etcetc. On 30th May some one {May be from CMWSSB water supply Depot Or Truck Owner } called me for address.I gave my address but told the caller that he may deliver water to the given address though I am not at the flat when truck arrives and I have asked watchman to pay. Promptly a SMScame."Booking number---------cancelled.Reason.Cancelled by Customer" which is totally false.If they can advise booking number by SMS,why not they advise delivery schedule by SMS? Why telephone which has no record?
4.Again on6th July 2019 I booked for another tanker.Booking number 190706080089.On 21st Aug i got a SMS reading as under.QuoteDial for water.Booking 190706080089 has been cancelled.Reason.Cancelledby CMWSSB-Call not picked up.Unquote .I did not receive any call and there was no message of MISSED calls.Let them say from which number they called.
5.My friend also had same experience.
However there is NO DEARTH for getting water through private tankers in 5-6 hours from booking by paying 3-4 times of the price charged by CMWSSB.
If CMWSSB sends delivery message by SMS ,partial improvement could be made and cheating can be reduced.
Unfortunately they will not do it for obvious reasons.
Will Local Circles can help poor consumers like me ?

This is a terrible area and one cannot dream of getting drinking water in their house taps for next- 2 years in our Perungudi Area. The OHT with 4-Lakhs lit capacity and sump getting constructed here is still a mirage and nobody in govt is able to give a deadline for house connection which we applied with the Perungudi Panchayat with an advance of Rs 5000 /- in the year 2008 and waiting without any benefits More street taps at the Cost of the owners also is a possible solution . After all both the husband and wife are compulsorily to work here and the time of the street water supply cannot be predicted nowadays. The ground water is over exploited by greedy real estate promoters who have provided 750 ' bore wells in the locality with submersible pumps!
