I think we are grossly out in judging the Police specially the traffic Police who are from the same Policing force. They are only to act not as per Law with the dignified simple citizen . They are harsh only to force you to pump out the greasing their palms. At times you sholuld watch the two pockets in the shirt swelling. What is this filling? A well planned dress given to them. The reason really not known but used to pocket their booty. No one dare to check ther Political Party Flag Cars for the black sun film incuding the Government vehicles. Are they exempted from the law of the Land. Only a matter of practice that the Police personal who stand in the traffic palns and comes with a fixed target and ensures at the end of the day he accomplishes the target. Even the Chairman of the Pay commission has been sided with them and recommended IPS at par with IAS. It shows the judiciary helping trend to those who helps them. Great India we are proud of all those who are in the Police and other Public service. The lesson is all the Police personal should be trained with the Other countries where they are really a Publi servant and not Public Master.

Traffic Police in TN can be a little friendly. Some TCs even act rude at times. No government official is supposed to show his anger to a public in public when there is no crime involved. Particularly during Sun Film Removal campaign, TCs acted harsh at Car Owners, specifically on self driven cars. A government body can always impose a fine or penalty against violations but never like tearing off sun films vigorously or use of bad words for the same with Luxury Car Owners..(practically seen it near Alandur Signal on GST Road which adjoins with Alandur Bus Depot) mind you, they are all Tax Payers.. I was waiting to share this for a long time, thanks for the opportunity given.

I also have a personal experience that a Senior Police Official supporting a Self Driven Car Owner, who hit me from behind when I was travelling by two wheeler and made a sudden brake seeing a pothole. And, I was supposed to pay for the damages in the Car Bumper.

Most of the time the traffic police are busy attending to petty cases rather than regulating the traffic. You can only find them under a tree , immediately after taking a turn so that they can stand comfortably and catch their pray. If the Traffic police are really interested in regulating the traffic , they should stand in the signal junction.
